Antique French clothing and textiles are now just a phone call or email away!
I stock and can source any of
the following antique clothing and textiles:-
Men’s Antique Clothing
Peasant trousers – these can be the striped variety, riding trousers, blue
cotton, linen and long johns.
Jackets – all styles including worker’s blue button fastening, worn suiting in
blacks greys and blues.
Shirts - linen nightshirts, workers striped or checked with a longer back than
front, white dress shirts
Aprons, gaiters, waistcoats, hats- both felt and straw, workers’ bags made from
canvas.

Women’s Antique Clothing
Skirts – long or short black skirts – gathered or pleated in velvets, satins,
grosgrain and wool
Underskirts – in white with lace, gathered with and without frills
Blouses – white cotton with frilled fronts, short or long sleeves, black satin
with or without frills – any design you can think of!
Dresses – evening or workday wear
Aprons – half and full, plain and gathered with frills and lace
Shawls - lace, knitted, crochet,
Hats – felt and straw
gloves,bags, and feathers

Most of the above antique clothing dates from the 19th Century and early 20th century. The peasant
clothing is nicely worn and full of character.
Antique Textiles
Antique quilted bedcovers, crochet and lace curtains, suiting and fabrics –
both old and new are all available.
There is always a good stock of antique sheets – from the coarse cream ‘chanvre’
(hemp) to fine linen monogrammed available. As well as the lesser known
‘metisse’ - a mix of linen and cotton giving an interesting dense flexible
texture. I can send samples of any of these.
